Functionality and safety

Avionaut's Isofix IQ Orbit base is a pivoting base designed to make it easier to install and use the brand's car seats. It rotates through 270°, allowing the seat to be turned towards the door so that the child can be installed or removed easily, reducing the physical effort required by parents.

This base is compatible with several Avionaut car seat models, including the Cosmo, Pixel PRO , AeroFIX and AeroFIX RWF. This extended compatibility means that the base can be used for a long time, from the first journeys with a newborn to daily trips to nursery school.

It attaches securely to the vehicle using the Isofix connectors and an additional support strut, guaranteeing a stable and safe installation. 

The base meets the strictest safety standards. To ensure correct installation, the IQ Orbit base is equipped with a Click ‘n’ Drive system: visual and audible signals confirm that the car seat is correctly attached to the base. This feature reduces the risk of errors during installation, giving parents peace of mind.

Tutorial for installation in a vehicle

Follow these steps to install the base correctly in your vehicle

Installing the Astrid i-Size base and shell

  • Position the base on the vehicle seat and unfold the strut.
  • Extend the isofix arms on both sides of the base and anchor them to the anchor points located in the car seat between the backrest and the seat.
  • Check that the indicators have turned green and push the base as far as it will go against the backrest.
  • Adjust the height of the strut so that the foot meets the resistance of the car floor.
  • Turn the base towards you, using the small handle close to you.
  • Place the compatible shell or car seat on the isofix base already installed. You will hear a characteristic click. Check that the indicator has turned green.
  • If you are using a shell, use the buttons on the sides to lower the carrying handle so that it is positioned against the vehicle seat.
